Posted: Mon Mar 12, 2007 4:53 amAnyone can get rid of the laptop cinema that comes up after you die or when you exit the game. If you like seeing the commercial and watching the Dell laptop roar on your screen when you get pwned, please stop reading this right now.
Make sure you arent running Shadowbane and follow these directions. What I did was easy:
1. Go into your program/ubi/shadowbane/Doublefusion if you put shadowbane somewhere else, goto shadowbane/doublefusion folder (just get into that doublefusion folder).
2. Go into each of these folders and open each file with notepad. You can right click each file and then choose "open with" and then choose notepad out of the program list. Just get each file opened with notepad.
3. After you have the first file opened (you dont have to do them in any order) Click edit at the top of the notepad window and choose "select all". When all of the garbled text is highlighted, type 123 or your name or whatever you want. This should replace the garbled text inside of the file.
4. Click file then choose save and close out notepad.
5. Do the same to the next file in the folder.
6. When you are done modifying all the files in that folder goto the next folder and do the same thing to those files in that folder. Do this to all files and all file sinside of folders in the doublefusion folder.
7. When you start Shadowbane the next time, make sure you make a new shortcut to sb.exe and skip the patcher.exe file because if you run the patcher file it will recreate the files you just changed.
You shouldnt get the video after you die or exit. This is a cheap work around if you dont like the Dell commercial. If you know of an easier way to get rid of the Dell laptop commercial please post it.
